Length: 2" from bead to tip
These light, delicate earrings convey natural beauty with a flash of soft colour.
Artist Mary Dreaver uses hand-dyed porcupine quills from Manitoba. With their barbed points, porcupine quills aren't easy to work with.
To make the earrings, Mary picks through them, quill by quill, to find a perfect pair of length, thickness, and colour. Then she trims off the barbed ends. Finally, she draws a thread through each quill to make a fragile little bundle.
Because they are handmade with natural materials, no two pairs will be exactly alike, and they may differ slightly from the product photos.
